Rejuvi In Detail
The treatment utilizes similar methods as having the original tattoo. A removal formula is delivered to the treatment area using a tattoo machine and is specifically designed to blend with and capture the original tattoo ink. The specialist formula has a unique chemical extraction bonding mechanism which softens the tattoo pigments and then forms into a thicker substance, which the skin easily pushes out taking the captured tattoo ink with it. A scab will form much like a regular tattoo, which will develop over the following weeks until it naturally falls off, taking some of the ink with it. As the skin continues to heal, additional ink is continually drawn to the surface.
The treatment is considerably less painful than other removal methods and the treatment course and subsequent tattoo removal is typically much faster and more effective. The treatment is suitable and effective on both professional tattoos and permanent make-up and on most areas of the body.

Rejuvi FAQ
After your treatment your skin will likely be red and feel like it has mild sunburn, which typically goes away after a few hours. There may also be mild bruising and a crust will form, which will typically heal within 7 – 10 days. The scabbing is more prominent than regular tattoo work, so you may want to ensure you have no public events scheduled for the following week.
Permanent makeup can usually be removed in 1 – 2 treatments. Regular tattoos may take 3 – 6 treatments to completely remove, depending on the size, location, type of ink used, depth of the tattoo and the condition of the skin. Large tattoos need to be broken down into sections and treated separately.
You may see some results within a week. When the crust falls off during the healing process, it will take more of the unwanted tattoo ink with it and it will continue to fade in the following weeks. Overall you can expect to see the results in 6 – 8 weeks following your treatment.
The effects of the treatment are permanent.
Your body needs time to break down the tattoo ink pigments. As such, tattoo removal treatments are typically spaced 8 – 12 weeks apart to ensure the area is healed sufficiently before further treatment.
Yes it is safe and there have been no lasting side effects documented from this treatment. Because the skin is broken there is a small risk of infection, however this can be minimised by properly following aftercare instructions.
The treatment is said to be very similar to being tattooed. A topical numbing cream can be applied to the skin up to 60 minutes prior to treatment to help minimise the pain.
Two Weeks Before Treatment
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen and try to avoid excessive sun exposure.
- Do not undergo abrasive skin treatments, aesthetic fillers, injectables or laser treatments.
Two Days Before Treatment
- Avoid alcohol or coffee consumption as this can prevent blood clotting.
- Avoid abrasive scrubs, exfoliants, facial masks, self-tanners, bleaching or skin-lightening agents. This includes prescription skincare products, such as adapalene, benzoyl peroxide, Retin-A or Tazorac.
- Avoid any active skin care, such as Vitamin A, Vitamin C, AHA and BHA.
- Avoid waxing, electrolysis or any depilatory hair removal products or methods.
- Avoid blood thinning medication or auto-immune therapies (please consult with the physician first if unsure).
On The Day
- Drink lots of water as this will hydrate your skin.
- Remove make-up prior to facial treatments.
- Avoid shaving 4 hours before treatment.
Do not pick – Try to avoid touching the treatment area for 6 hours after the treatment and DO NOT pick at any scabbing that may occur over the following weeks. You must let it fall off naturally.
Avoid moisture – Try to avoid water contact altogether for at least a week; covering the treated area whilst bathing or showering. Do not allow the crust to soften by moisture; avoid swimming, soaking or steaming. If exposed to moisture, gently dab the area with a paper towel and leave it to air dry.
Aftercare Ointments – Use only the advised aftercare ointments, applying with either a cotton bud or finger tips of thoroughly washed hands.
Apply SPF50 sunscreen – Your skin will be more exposed and susceptible to UV damage immediately post treatment. Refrain from prolonged direct sun exposure for the following weeks after a treatment if you can.
Don’t exfoliate – You should not use any exfoliants such as scrubs, brushes or exfoliating cleansers until there is no more crust remaining.
Avoid abrasive treatments – Avoid all abrasive treatments such as Microdermabrasion or HydraFacials for at least 2 weeks after your treatment.
Avoid blood thinners – You can help minimize bruising by avoiding blood thinners, like aspirin and other anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), green tea and herbal supplements for the following week after your treatment.
In case of infection – Use a cotton pad dampened with 25% hydrogen peroxide and press gently for sterilisation, then apply antibiotic ointment around the edge of the crust.

- On blood thinning medication, such as warfarin, heparin or aspirin
